CRITICALLY READING JOURNAL ARTICLE

There are some ways to help the readers easy reading and clearly understanding about a journal article. The first one is look at the title, before start to read journal article deeply try to understand meaning of the title really important. The readers should know the main idea that explained in the article, from this they also can guess who will be the participants of the research. Next is the abstract, the main goal of the abstract is to summarize the article. This is include some important content of research, such as variables were examined, discussions and findings, showed cause and effects, and the places of research conducted by the researcher. Moreover the introduction, introduction of research showed readers describing of what kind of study, the purpose of research conducted, topic, the article going, reasons of the reseacrh conducted it, and some of previous studies that conducted before to support research of the researcher.

 Then the method, to know more about this, readers should ask themselves what will method use by writer? Why she/he use it? And how? Think some question help they critically in reading an article. Commonly research conducted by three methods, can be qualitative, quantitative, or mix method. Qualitative method   is used when little is known about a topic or phenomenom, utilized to comprehend people’s experiences, and to express their point of view (Johnson and Christensen,2005). 

Furthermore the result, looked at the result deeply increase knowledge of readers. From the result they can compare one research with anothers to create anxious reading more. Result showed involved hypotheses/prediction of research that explained in introduction. Another way is the discussion, in discussion part researcher presented the main findings of research. She/he told implications of her/his research that found from the study and some suggestions for the people who want conduct that research again. Last one is the conclusion, conclusion necessary explained by the authors to point out their significance to the common research place. And also authors told the important finding in research.
